Jackson "Jax" Briggs

Jax first entered MK on account of Sonya's capture by Shao Kahn. He joined the Earth Realm against the Outworld in order to save his partner and childhood friend from the clutches of evil. He's ended up in every tournament since...as Cyrax says; "Death is the only way out". As a kid, Jax was rather chubby so as a result, he's sort of a gentle giant with classic insecurities. Following Sonya's lead, he joined the US Special Forces and got into impeccable shape. A few years back, he had his arms implanted with some experimental bionic implants, which have made his 6'5, 350lb frame that much more formidable. Jax is the nicest of guys but has proven time and again that any threat to him or his loved ones (especially Sonya) will suffer at his metal hands. Upon meeting Lara and the SF gang, the chronically single Jax met his match in Chun-Li Xiang. It's only natural that the strongest man in the world be attracted to the strongest woman, no? Nowadays, Jax and Sonya are working as homicide investigators in New York. Jax served more than his fair share of time in USSF and is ready to settle down with his woman. Every day, you can find Mr. Briggs chatting it up at the Fighter's Cafe with his pals. Lara recently named one of her dark roasts "Briggs Blend" after Jax. It's strong, smooth, and best served black, just like Jax!
